Notes from a practical color-palette experiment

Someone in my family is arranging a small late-autumn wedding with a cool, quiet atmosphere. There will be several different complexions, hair colors, and comfort levels with color. We do not want one exact shade that makes some people feel washed out. I suggested coordinated cool tones rather than a single prescribed shade. I started with ideas around soft winter color palette and it helped me see it as a source of color relationships rather than a rulebook. That might let us keep the flowers and accessories consistent while varying the clothes. Before deciding, we plan to test the proposed colors near each other in natural afternoon light. I would appreciate examples from anyone who has coordinated to create harmony without putting everyone in identical outfits? We are also keeping the venue and season in view, because a color that looks elegant on a digital board can change once it meets warm wood, candlelight, and autumn flowers. The aim is a relaxed group photograph, not a technical demonstration of a palette. Comfort matters too, since everyone will be wearing these choices for a long day.
