A calmer way to compare colour seasons

I keep returning to the difference between Deep Summer and Soft Winter in everyday light. The charts look clear until I hold similar fabrics near my face. I first set up a small comparison in indirect daylight. The comparison felt fairer after I removed obvious colour distractions. I noticed that richer colours looked striking while sometimes emphasising tired shadows. Softer blue and berry fabrics felt comfortable, but I may simply prefer them. I tried to describe observable effects instead of deciding from a favourite colour. A neutral color analysis would be useful as a second checklist alongside the fabric photographs. I would treat any result as a starting point rather than a verdict. Have you found a reliable way to compare depth against softness at home? I would appreciate approaches that are realistic outside a studio. A small, repeatable process feels more useful than chasing a perfect label immediately. I hope that a slower record will make my final comparison less influenced by mood. I appreciate ideas from people who have worked through similar uncertainty.
